Tropang Trumpo

Who can ever forget the best laughtrip show in ABC5 during the 90’s? Tropang Trumpo was the funniest show back then where they would have jokes and spoofs of different situations and shows. It was the Bubble Gang of the 90’s. The part that I’m sure everyone still remembers from that show is the United American Tiki-tiki song and “chicken” (with the matching actions with the hand).

Let me refresh your memory with the United American tiki-tiki song… United American Tiki-tiki, pampalusog ng inyong baby, United American, United American Tiki-tiki pang baby” I’m sure while you were singing it, you couldn’t help but do the dance as well. Hahahaha! I’m sure you guys will get LSS (last song syndrome) with this. Enjoy! Bwahahaha!

I wonder why Tropang Trumpo went off the air. I have to admit I like Bubble Gang better. Especially yung mga spoof ni Bitoy na kanta. Does “May isa na namang kumagat sa alikabok” (Another one bites the dust) ring any bells?

the show went off probably because most of the characters moved to bubble gang. why don’t we talk about dance music or songs that hits the chart during the 90’s???

Today, while I was at work, my cousin stole my iPad and tested to see
if it can survive a 25 foot drop, just so she can be a youtube sensation.
My iPad is now destroyed and she has 83 views.
I know this is completely off topic but I had to share it
    with someone!

It’s been a year since we’ve begun this blog. Wahoo! It’s time to bring back the love to the next batch of SEO experts, bloggers, and internet marketers! This year’s theme is more social-oriented. I guess this idea came from our professor who thinks that the Internet is more than an all-in-one medium that integrates […]
  • Pop Swatch! November 1, 2007
They were funky, overly large, and well cute.  The Pop Swatch was born in the 80’s but it got to Manila during the nineties. My cousin was obsessed with collecting all the straps that would match. We would always pass by Gift Gate in the Greenhills Shopping Arcade so that we would see the new […]
  • Oh Tokyo! October 29, 2007
The show’s goal was simple: to give the Pinoys an overview of the Japanese culture. We love it for the host’s flawless translation of Japanese to Filipino. It also helps that she speaks in a sing-song voice while she asks the Tokyo-dwellers about their day-to-day living. Sad to say, this show stopped airing in RJ […]

  • For kicks: Guess this 90s Telenovela October 27, 2007
The year was 1998 and we, as a nation, have just recovered from the Thalia telenovela avalanche. We needed a change of pace so here’s a soap whose heroine is a child. Her height is as tiny as her voice! I love her show-gum smile and lengthy lashes. The story was interesting in the beginning: […]
