Tamagotchi

We laughed at it, we fed it, we played with it, we took care of it, we even cried when it died. This precious little creature that we all loved was our “Tamagotchi” cyber pet! Every kid, boy or girl during our “kidswereus” days had a tamagotchi game at hand. If I remember the game correctly, you had a creature to take care of, I recall having a dragon as my pet. I fed it with burgers, French fries, and softdrinks. I also played a game with my little dragon when it needed attention, and it clapped when it won against me. After we played consecutive games, I must let my cyber pet sleep or else it might get sick, and if it does it might die. A lot of kids really cried when their cyber pet died, its funny now but before it was something really depressing! Tamagotchi was incredibly popular among kids before that it was already banned in most schools for the reason that it was already interfering with our studies. Damn! I miss my Tamagotchi dragon! =(

Funny coz my carpoolmates and I were talking about this recently and one of them mentioned that there’s a new tamagotchi , which has infrared so that it can interact with other tamagotchis. Ain’t that cool! I wanna get one of those and play with it during my free time. haha!

    Is it expensive?

I had one when I was in 7th grade. It was colored green…I loved the pet; I always brought it with me to school but my interest wore off after the first two weeks of having it. \^^/

Tamagochi, the pet that keeps on waking me up in the middle of the night. I still remember my mom feeding it and cleaning it’s crap in the middle of the night everytime it wakes up. Its funny to think how a single device can be so lovable just like a pet. I want one!! How much justin?

  • Kidswereus Recalls (and ambitiously recommends) March 4, 2008
It’s been a year since we’ve begun this blog. Wahoo! It’s time to bring back the love to the next batch of SEO experts, bloggers, and internet marketers! This year’s theme is more social-oriented. I guess this idea came from our professor who thinks that the Internet is more than an all-in-one medium that integrates […]

  • Pop Swatch! November 1, 2007
They were funky, overly large, and well cute.  The Pop Swatch was born in the 80’s but it got to Manila during the nineties. My cousin was obsessed with collecting all the straps that would match. We would always pass by Gift Gate in the Greenhills Shopping Arcade so that we would see the new […]

  • Oh Tokyo! October 29, 2007
The show’s goal was simple: to give the Pinoys an overview of the Japanese culture. We love it for the host’s flawless translation of Japanese to Filipino. It also helps that she speaks in a sing-song voice while she asks the Tokyo-dwellers about their day-to-day living. Sad to say, this show stopped airing in RJ […]

  • For kicks: Guess this 90s Telenovela October 27, 2007
The year was 1998 and we, as a nation, have just recovered from the Thalia telenovela avalanche. We needed a change of pace so here’s a soap whose heroine is a child. Her height is as tiny as her voice! I love her show-gum smile and lengthy lashes. The story was interesting in the beginning: […]
